IELTS BAND SCORE
Skill bands matter as much as the overall band
The overall score is calculated from the four skill bands and rounded under IELTS rules. Receiving organisations may also set minimum skill scores.
How the overall band is calculated
Add Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, then divide by four. The result is rounded to the nearest whole or half band under the official rules.
Readiness is not an IELTS band
IELTS Life's readiness check only selects a starting route. It is not a full IELTS test and does not produce an IELTS band or assumed CEFR level.
