Academic, General Training or IELTS for UKVI?
Your goal can narrow the options, but the receiving organisation's stated requirement is the final authority.
IELTS Academic
Commonly used for higher education or professional registration. Reading and Writing differ from General Training.
IELTS General Training
Commonly used for some work, training or migration routes. Listening and Speaking share the Academic format.
IELTS for UKVI
This is an approved IELTS route for certain UK visa purposes. Do not infer it from destination alone.
